LPG Pumps & Compressors

LPG PUMPS, LPG COMPRESSORS, ACCESSORIES for LPG tanker uploading, Bobtail, Autogas, Cylinder filling, Trailer loading / unloading, Industrial Process and Vapor Recovery System Application.
A positive displacement pump especially designed for handling highly compressed and liquefiable gases. It meets the stringent requirement of safety for use with gases such as LPG, Ammonia, Ethylene Oxide and other. The design takes into consideration of non-sparking characteristics up to - 30°C and flamability problems due to leakage.
Materials of constructions used are to suite particular gas application. Main shaft is of stainless steel 304, Rotor is Ni.Ci. The main body is of cast steel.
  1. The pump should be installed on a concrete foundation and levelled. It should be anchored by four ½”x6” long foundation bolts.
  2. A strainer must be fitted in the suction line of pump to prevent any dirt entering the pump system.
  3. This pump is uni-directional and its rotary direction is marked on the pump. Before starting, the direction of the motor rotation must be checked.
  4. The piping should be of adequate size for the inlet and outlet.
  5. The piping should be leveled and no misalignment be allowed, else the stresses will be transmitted to the pump.
  6. A Back Pressure Check Valve down stream of the pump must be installed in the pipe line.
  7. The pulleys are sent loose, while fitting the same, no hammering should be done, else mechanical seal setting can be disturbed or damaged.
  8. Check for correct alignment of motor and pulleys.
  9. All pipe lines should be flushed clean by air to prevent dirt, welding flux etc. entering the pump.
  10. Avoid unnecessary bends, both in suction and discharge lines. Use long bends wherever required.
  11. Must provide shut-off valve at inlet and outlet.
  12. Care should be taken to see that the valves provided are of correct size having full port openings. This will prevent loss in suction and delivery lines.
  13. It is recommended to have a small shed to cover the pump. This will protect the pump and motor from rain and dirt.


  1. The pump is belt driven to run at approximately 600/700 RPM. The 58 Model delivers at 7kg - 100gpm. The 55 Model delivers at 7kg - 60gpm.
  2. The pump should never be allowed to run dry.
  3. Before starting the pump, ensure that the following conditions are satisfied. (a) Valves at pump inlet and outlet are open. (b) Valves on the top of the tank and any other valves between pump and tank are open. (c) Vapour return line from storage tank is connected to the road tanker and all valves in this line are open. (d) Check belt tension. Belts should not be loose or very tight. (e) Rotate pulleys 2 turns in proper direction to ensure that rotation is free.
  4. As soon as the liquid from the tanker is drained out, the pump should be first stopped and all valves upstream and downstream shut.


  1. Grease cups are provided for lubricating bearings. These must be filled every two weeks. Use Lithium based grease Gr.2 IS:1002
  2. Check belt tension before starting the pump. Also check that the pump rotates freely by hand, this should be done every two weeks.
  3. Strainer at the pump inlet should be cleaned after 3-4 filling operations.
